Gravitas Pens

This is my second Gravitas pen. I bought a pocket pen used-perviouly owned, just to try the brand and was impressed. I have had this amazing pen for a few days now. The pen fits my large hand well and the nib was tuned well out of the box. The #8 nib is wet and even. I was teaching a class in my lab and a student asked if they could try it. I said sure and 30 seconds later I see the pen without cap go flying as someone bummed the student accidentally from behind. The pen loudly smacking the polished concrete. I died inside, I was amazed to find absolutely nothing wrong with the pen. Not a single mark. The nib was nocked left but undamaged and there was a good amount of burped ink. I can't imagine any other pen I own surviving better. I have no words. This is a epic pen in every respect. I'm going to buy more from Gravitas. Beautifully Engineered and a Pleasure to Use!

I recently bought the Gravitas Monster G5 Titanium machine finish, and it has exceeded my expectations. The titanium construction feels incredibly solid and premium, while the precise machining and clean design show an impressive level of craftsmanship.

The Vac 2.0 is the most precisely manufactured pens that I own, and I have a lot of great pens. It is a pleasure to own and a flawless writer. The look and feel of this pen are fantastic for my hand. The size is perfect. Not too small and not too big, yet it holds more than enough ink. I really appreciate the ink window on the section. While it does post, I find that it does not post in the most secure manner. The black aluminum and yellow Ultemate look great together. I highly recommend this pen.

I’ve been using the Gravitas Vac 2.0 for a few weeks, and it’s quickly become a favorite in my daily rotation, especially with the (EF) nib.

The front-weighted balance is fantastic. The grooved section grounds the pen comfortably in the hand without feeling heavy, providing just the right amount of tactile grip for long writing sessions. A must have indeed!

The EF nib is a good, precise and smooth nib, probably close to a Japanese fine. Fitting it to my existing Gravitas was straightforward.

Ordering and delivery were hassle-free, and the delivery was very fast. The Vac 2.0 is a great fountain pen. It writes very well—with a rich, wet flow—yet is still practical for everyday use. A truly great companion for everyday life. I highly recommend it.

Straight lines have a darker appearance and curves are more red.

ok, this Writer’s Blood is blowing my mind. I am so obsessed with watching the lines form as I am putting pen to page. Every line and letter is a blend of red and black. Somehow (magic? Voodo? Unholy promises? (Don’t let it be science)) the red and black inks do not blend. The appearance is a Red and Black line. Under 10x magnification it is 2 distinct colors. This is CRAZY!

After playing around with this ink a bit, I noticed the chamber behind the feed was running low and the reserve was not charging the way I expected, even with the back cracked open a bit. When the feed chamber ran low, the blended ink had a darker appearance with less red ink coming through the nib. I could play around with the vac feature of the pen and bleed the ink into the reserve chamber and then feed it back into the feed chamber. This is only possible to view with the clear ULTEM material the pen is crafted from. After a bit of writing, the lettering began to have a blended appearance again. Under 10x magnification, the red was still there, just more black ink was present.

It takes a while to get the ink to start to have the blended appearance again after setting the pen down for a few hours. Just get out a scrap paper and write a few lines to see the lines start to blend more efficiently.

I’m glad this is a large bottle and the pen writes wet, because it is a dopamine hit to write with this ink. I bought the Writer’s Blood on a lark. Gallows humor, It’s appealing. I completely underestimated how awesome this ink is. 5 stars barely rates this product sufficiently.
